Ed Farrell, M.D. was born in Pennsylvania and received his Medical Degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1988. He completed his Residency in Family Practice in Casper, Wyoming in 1991, serving as one of three Chief Residents during his final year.
Dr. Farrell has dedicated his professional career to delivering care to disenfranchised populations, initially working with Native Americans in Alaska and South Dakota. Ed then worked at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless for 16 years, serving as Medical Director during most of that time period. He was an integral part of expanding clinic services, improving quality, and advocating for the homeless. Dr. Farrell came to Clinica Family Health Services in May, 2010, as the Clinic Medical Director at the Thornton site. He is delighted to have the opportunity to do full-spectrum Family Practice, and is committed to Clinica’s mission to deliver high quality care to people with limited health care access.
Ed especially enjoys working with medical students, residents, and health care delivery team members, while passing on his passion for delivering high quality care to disenfranchised individuals, while serving each person with dignity and respect.
