Dr. Gerber is an Associate Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health, where he practices pulmonary medicine and conducts research on airway inflammation, with a focus on glucocorticoid signaling. Dr. Gerber earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics from MIT, and he holds MD and PhD degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to joining the faculty at National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado, Dr. Gerber was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed residency and fellowship training. Dr. Gerber has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications and his research has been presented nationally and internationally. Dr. Gerber is a member of the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission and has been honored with a “Star of Hope” award by the American Lung Association of California and the Giles Filley Award from the American Physiological Society.
