Amen Sergew, MD, received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota. She went on to her fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Colorado. Dr. Sergew is board certified in critical care and pulmonary medicine. Her areas of clinical interest include COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, eosinophilic lung disease, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and neuromuscular disease. At National Jewish Health she is part of the COPD Program as well as the Neuromuscular program. Dr. Sergew is involved in translational research in COPD. She has practiced at National Jewish Health since 2009 except for a year working as a respiratory consultant in New Zealand.
